Our history

The birth of Astraea Sentinel

Astraea Sentinel was founded at the end of 2024 by a team of cybersecurity students as part of a mission-driven academic project.

Frustrated by the growing complexity of cyber threats and the overwhelming workload faced by SOC analysts, we set out to build a tool that truly helps: a platform that automatically generates detection rules from CTI (Cyber Threat Intelligence) to support better incident analysis and faster response.

Our goal is simple: help analysts not just detect threats, but understand them — where they come from, how they behave, and how to respond effectively.

Astraea Sentinel is more than just a student project. It's a contribution to the cybersecurity community — born from real needs, built with purpose, and designed to make frontline defense smarter.
